When was AR first introduced?

Augmented reality has been in development for many decades before becoming what it is today. It was first introduced in 1968 by Ivan Sutherland. He developed the first head-mounted display system which used computer-generated graphics to show users simple wireframe drawings. However, did you know that the first ever concept of augmented reality was actually discovered in 1901? A man named L. Frank Baum, came up with the idea of an electronic display that places data onto a real-life object. To read more about it, head over to ‘History of AR’ blog post.
